Can You Combine 95 gauges and 87 Gauges for a functional tach and keep the old Mechanical Speedometer?

My 1987 Mj that uses a mechanical speedometer, but doesn't have a tach. I have a donor 1995 Xj that has the tach gauge but uses a electronic speedo. Is there any way I can combine the tachometer gauge into the old housing and swap all the newer faceplates and keep the mechanical drive? Id like the add that the old gauge cluster has everything but the Tach (No idiot lights). And will the old sensors even work with the new or will I have to swap the new ones in aswell?

pretty sure it's all wired up different.  

 

but you can easily swap in an 87-90 cluster with tach.
