"Part Time" Dash Light

I searched, but the terms "Part" and "Time" seem to come up in a buttload of threads that have nothing to do with the dash lights...

 

My lights on 100% of the time... When I was putzing with the new 89MJ, it stayed on in 2WD, 4WD, and just stays on...

 

Should I be worried about it? I know the "Brake" and UpShift Arrow on that light panel go on/off when appropriately when they should.

 

I feel like a dummy...literally...

Its likely your vacuum diagram for the front axle is faulty. Depending on the year of your truck, there is a switch(Mine is blue) under the expansion tank near the firewall.

 

I switched to a Posi-Loc and mine now works as a ground, once contact is made, it grounds and my light goes on. Again, depending on your year, yours could be electrical or vacuum.

at least you have some type of light on. I've got nothing, but I can tell that mine is in 4x4 when i pull the lever the truck acts alot different. so I'd have to say that I'm ok. maybe some time I will look into it more. good luck with figureing yours out.
