Jamieb Posted November 30, 2022 Share Posted November 30, 2022 I have a 86 MJ with a 2.5L engine thats needs replacing can I used a newer 2.5L from a 1995 yj and basically just add my intake,exhaust and distributor from my 86 to the 95 engine ?? eaglescout526 Posted November 30, 2022 Share Posted November 30, 2022 Yes you can. 83-02 is the same block with no changes. And 86 doesn’t have a carb. It has throttle body injection. Carb was 84-85 only for the 2.5L. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
