Wiring Issue

Recommended Posts

So I'm stumped... 86 Comanche with the v6. Previous owner had a ton of sketchy wiring done in this jeep. Lots of lights, air horn, gauges, etc and almost none of it worked. Then the radio and blower quit working.

I decided to just start trying to undo their wiring with the intentions of redoing it all. Pulled all the wires and halfway through I had to move the jeep. Parked again and now I have no 12V at all. Turn the key nothing happens. No door lights. Nothing. Using a power probe, every single pin on every fuse is grounded.

I'm not sure if I did something or if something just went at the same time. Been tracing wires for 2 hour with no luck. I would 100% say it was me if I hadn't have driven it with the wires all dangling prior to me removing them completely.

Anyone able to send me a picture of their fuse box to make sure I am not missing something.

So I’m thinking we have two separate issues.

Some thing is causing the entire c101 to be grounded. i took it apart to clean it because that seems to be a common failure point and when I did I checked it with a power probe and every post was either grounded or dead. None of them had 12 V.

Secondly I’m thinking the previous owner hijacked the wiring that was supposed to supply power to The starter relay to power the accessory lights. when I remove the accessories that post is no longer getting power. Can someone look and tell me where theirs is getting 12v from?
