Ollie
I have a 1989 4.0 stock cooling system. My electric fan is not coming on. Is there a temp sensor that controls this fan, if so where is it? Is it wired thru the AC system? I know the fan is good because I have tested it straight to the battery. Ollie
87MJTIM
The temperature sensor screws into the radiator- driver’s side, next to the e-fan. The temperature sensor triggers a relay that powers the fan. The relay is on the driver’s side inner fender. Try removing the relay and jump the power supply. If the fan comes on, then it maybe the sensor is bad.
