JStone
So put simply the summer drives in Utah are hell and the heat in the cab is even hotter then hell. My lil 2.5 does not have anything even representing an AC, besides the windows. I am a certified Refrigeration tech with access to a bunch of resources. The thing is that I don't know if it is possible to add the compressor to a system where one never existed. Anyone have and experience in this arena!? eaglescout526
Why yes. I did this a few years ago. You need an MJ or XJ with the same engine from the same era to add AC as you need the brackets that hold the compressor and alt. I did a write up on this actually. Let me go find it. eaglescout526
I tried to be as damn detailed as possible with adding AC to this engine. I still highly recommend finding a parts MJ or XJ with the same engine so you can snag everything you need. I do have a spare bracket or two for the compressor but it’s missing the rear mount and alt mount and hardware.

JStone
You are the dang encyclopedia for the club @eaglescout526 Thanks for the share, I'm sure down in AZ it was a bit unbearable without air-conditioning.

Thanks! And you have no idea. Granted I was used to such already with my moms cars AC failure and so for a decade we rode around in that thing with an AC system that wouldn’t work. But it still wasn’t fun with hot air blasting in at 50 mph.
