Garage Door Opener Console Push Button

Finished another useless little project today. Was sick of fumbling for the garage door opener every time I came home, so I opened up my remote and paralleled a small push button switch across the remote button and mounted the button within easy reach on the console. Also was happy to see the remote was powered by a 12V battery, so I hardwired 12V into the remote too and crap-canned the battery. The remote can still be used manually in case of wiring problems since I mounted it in the back of the console away from any metal shielding. Works great!

 

I guess I have too much time on my hands.................. :D :D
