Rubikahn
So I pulled my fuel pump/ sending unit out of my 2.5 so I could move the pump from my donor 4.0 to it. I tried to cross reference the numbers on it, but got no hits. So I can’t even tell if it had a 2.5 or possibly 4.0 pump already in it. Has anyone seen this particular brand before? scaleless
The pump is an Airtex E7001, which is correct for 2.5L engines. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000DZ9MMO I'm not really sure about the sender but it looks like it was replaced with the pump - way too clean for original, I think. Thank you, and I’m seriously blind. The original search brought up Home Depot as the top hit for that number, and I didn’t scroll down, wtf. Yup, it’s an Airtek pump. The sending unit doesn’t look like the MTS unit. I have a Crown catalog and it looks like an XJ fuel pump/ sending unit they sell. I’m gonna have to pull the sending unit/ pump off the donor I have. It’s a LWB but should have the 4.0 pump I need. Unfortunately I won’t be able to use the whole assembly because from what I’ve read the LWB units are different than the SWB. scaleless
The LWB tanks are different, but use the same sending unit. The only difference regarding sending units is V6/diesel vs I4/I6.

So if what you’re saying is right, the tanks all have the same depth, but the LWB tanks are just longer. Might be getting confused with the XJ compatibility? That simplifies the swap then
scaleless
Yes, the the 18 and 23.5 Gallon tank are both 13.6" tall, but the 18 is 30" long and the 23.5 is 36" long.
