1988 Jeep Comanche Pioneer - AKA "PB&J"

 

 

4.0l / AW4 / NP231 / D30 / D35 (for now - in the process of putting together disc brakes on an MJ D44) / LWB

 

Current Location: Fort Collins, Colorado

 

Status: In the rotation as a daily/bad weather snow beater (We don't use salt around here...)

 

Notes: Has front and fuel tank skids, Honey/Tan interior, cloth/vinyl bench, vinyl pocketed door cards with hockey stick arm rests. 3 pane rear slider window. Leather wrapped 3 spoke wheel on a tilt column. Column shift, cruise, intermittent wipers, dealer installed A/C, AM/FM cassette - Everything works.

 

Original paint from the decals up, re-sprayed at some point from the decals down in the factory "Coffee". Seems like a semi rare color. Including this one, I've only ever seen 3 in person. I believe JeepDriver's was also originally this color.

 

Bought in May 2016 with 83k original miles. Now has a bit over 86K.

 

Added ~5" bastard lift on short arms front, General Spring custom Metric Ton lift spring pack in rear. 31x10.50R15 Yokohama Geolanders on black steel "D" window wheels. 97+ mirrors, T-case skid, Krusty hitch, 21 slot grille, Nick-in-times R.E.M., tinted windows, Meanlemons bored throttle body and battery cables, and a sweet home made poop pipe overflow bottle which takes a regular radiator cap that I rescued from a junkyard MJ. Surely other things I'm forgetting.

 

When I first bought this truck, I had intended on it being a 3-6 month flip. Didn't care for the color or the LWB. It's since really grown on me and it has just ended up being too good to let go of!
