Pete M
I have (had?) a potential buyer for my tires (trying to raise funds for my new MJ project) and he's shying away due to BFG being absolutely insane. The BFG website lists a 7" rim as the widest for the 235, but a 8.5" for the 30" even though there's only like a 1/4" difference between the two. And of course, he has an 8" rim. So has anyone mounted 235s on the apparantly monstrously huge 8" wide rim? Jeep on! --Pete
matrix37495
i have no idea, but if the deal fall through, I'm looking for new tires if the price is right
CWLONGSHOT
I have seen some 235's that looked AWEFUL on a 8" rim!! Like they would be running on part of the side wall as you roll down the road!!! While others have looked ok. Personally, I do think it is too wide a rim for a 235 tar. But I tend to prefer a narrow rim, as I like to play in the rocks and wide rims do not hold the bead as well when aired down to single digits. RandysMJ
I think they look good on a 8" wheel. My dad had 235/75r15 on 15x8 wheels when he bought it. They weren't ballooned lookin to us.
CWLONGSHOT
Randy, Nice CJ!! They do look fine, Thats what I was saying, some look fine, while others look like they are riding on the side wall!!!! Seems the allterain variety do ok on the 8", but the run of the mill large car tar do not. CW
