howdyterrell
First time poster/ user really. Just wondering if any of you guys have put a wooden bed in your comanches and what do they look like?
Pete M
do you mean a flatbed made entirely from wood? or are you talking about lining the bed with fancy strips of wood?
howdyterrell
Pete m, more specifically lining the bed with strips of wood. Has anyone does this to their truck?
Pete M
I don't think I've ever seen it in an MJ before. so the question now is, why hasn't anyone done it before!? that sounds like an awesome idea for a show truck!
dasbulliwagen
Also there are companies that make printed extruded aluminum bed floors for classic truck with just about any type of wood print you could want, plus any kind of image or graphic on top of that, but they really are purely for show. To do wood, youd have to cut out the bed floor metal, and make a supporting frame for the wood slats and spacers/attaching strips. It would look cool, but wood floors require a lot of maintenance to keep nice. It just depends upon what you want. All the stuff for them is out there. Just look up suppliers for classic Ford and Chevy trucks. They list all the slats, retainers, hardware and supporting brackets you could ever want.
