CSnyder Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 Recently bought an 89 MJ with a 4.0 and standard trans 2wd. The other night I bought a 1992 XJ 4.0 auto trans 4wd. So now I’m doing more reading on here and now I think I may have been a bit premature. Will the 92 trans work in the 89 MJ??

I kept see guys say check out the link in my signatures but on my phone it wouldnt show any of them. Checked the forum with my laptop this morning at work and there they are. Link was a great help! Looks like since I have a complete running XJ that it will be a pretty straight forward swap!!! Thanks for the help and I'm planning on posting as much as I can during the swap process
