shagtn
I was replacing the brakes/rotors and I stripped the caliper pin when trying to disassemble the caliper to remove the pads. I am positive they have been on the truck since it rolled of the line and Rather than mess around with drilling the pin out I called the parts store and they have the calipers I needed so I picked them up (and new caliper pins) and there is only one piece in each box. I am currently at work and going off memory, but are there not 2 pieces to the caliper or am I remembering wrong? Or is the other side called something else and I need to order it seperate? Thanks, -Will
Bounty Hunter
The caliper is 1-piece, with two pads.
mjeff87
The anchor pins thread into the knuckle. If those threads are stripped out, you can repair with a helicoil (or replace the knuckle :( ) Jeff
shagtn
Excellent ..thanks guys. I don't think the threading is stripped, I just rounded off the Hex Head as I was trying to break the pin loose.
