Rokhound
Do you guys think this is a good deal it is a rear end and I am just. Colecting parts right now. It sound like I could just go and pick it up and it is from a F-250 It is a Dana 60, but a semi floating rear end. Not sure if anyone here needs it, but thought I would offer it up here first. looks like 3.54 ratio. Has drum brakes on it. E-brake cable were cut, U-bolts were cut, shocks unbolted. Spring perches are there. Brake line from center to each wheel is all good. It has been stored inside since removed a couple weeks ago. I don't see anything that indicates limited slip rear end. Price? CHEAP!
speed_racer
The question is... How cheap is cheap? Most D60's can be made equally as strong with the correct guts and a lil' welding.
87manche
what year F250, starting in 01 I think, they went to the funny metric bolt pattern.
Twisty
I'd get a full floating D60. The shafts are sooo easy to change should you break one.
Rokhound
I don’t no what year it is but I don’t think it is going to be that new. I think I can get it next to nothing like $50 or so. And for that price I thought what the hell I would just pick it up and add it to my "dream build" part list.
pingpong
Semi Floating Isnt as strong as FF. That being said.. if it is an early semi floting with 5.5x5 bolt patter real easy to make it work. Other wise I would hold out for a full floating in the 4.10 variety. feerocknok
Don't spend more than $100. D60 and 14 bolt rears are too common to throw crazy cash at.

There are a few companies offering surplus military 14 bolts for 500 but they include 4.56's and Detriot lockers.. I have even seen them for 700 with a disc brake conversion on them. Now if you are using that ratio, yeahs they are kinda worth it
