I recently overhauled the engine on my 1986 jeep comanche 2.5 tbi....I did a new timing chain kit and water pump and oil pump among other things....before I started all this the injector was fine but I put it back together (not all the way but enough to let it run) and it would turn over but wouldnt fire...I checked everything out and found no fuel coming from injector...does anyone know why the injector wouldn't even be spraying??

Theres a test on Cruisers website that shows you how to test it with a multimeter. I believe you test for AC and its at .2 or something like that, it is bad.

You can test for spark by pulling a plug out and keep it attached to the wire at the rotor and put the plug against the block and look for a blue spark from the plug while someone cranks over the engine.

Also you can pull off the inlet line and see if fuel comes out. Sometimes the hose inside the tank can be loose and pop off or have holes in it causing little to no pressure.
