chuckliddell101 Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 I just got an '88 L6 and there's a lot of corrosion of wires under the hood, some pipes are corroded and 2 years ago when it was last used there were some problems w/ the sensors. The engine would just turn off. I want to pull the engine out and replace/clean up/fix all these issues. Does anyone know of a good service manual that can help me through this?
Pete M Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 There's nothing like a factory service manual for dealing with wiring issues. :D I recommend the 89 though rather than the 88. The trucks are essentially identical, but the 89 manual was the first Chrysler re-write and is better than the 88. ebay.com is a good source for them. You shouldn't have to remove the engine to get at the wiring. Jeep on! --Pete
