Fastguy1955 Posted May 29, 2019 Share Posted May 29, 2019 My new wife announced at dinner a couple of months ago that she would like to add a "Shabby Chic" pickup to our little collection. Never shying away from a challenge, I began a hunt for a vintage Jeep as we both have had a few over our lives . Found this one on Facebook a 1986 2.5L 5spd 4wd , with the long bed. It's pretty nice from 20ft or greater. Plan is to gradually restore and bring it back to as nice a condition as possible. Who ever ordered it new was pretty cheap and it is the "Stripper of all strippers" No ac , wind up windows , 2.5 5speed , 4wd, bench seat , idiot gauge set. Hope to rectify some of this as time allows. the Fellow we got it from just did replacement of the floors on both sides. He is a body guy who has great chops as a welder. One step forward already!
