MJ to 97+XJ Wheel Well liner compatibility

Sorry if it's posted somewhere else, but searching the forums didn't get me too far!

 

I wanted to know if the front wheel well liners from a 97+XJ are compatible with an MJ with 97+ front end.

 

I still have the original wells on now (hard plastic type). The MJ fenders are removed and I will be working on a front end conversion soon, I just didn't know if I'll need to swing by the scrap yard and retrieve the 97+ well liners (soft/flexible ones) or stick with the original MJ ones if they'll fit the newer XJ Fenders.

I am pretty sure the answer is "YES", but with some minor issues.  There may be a few holes that may need to be relocated, and a couple of other small issues, but otherwise, the liners should work just fine.
