Pile29
Has anyone done anything with a rasberry pi in their vehicles? Looking to hook one up to an LCD screen to run music, nav, dash cam, possibly some engine info. Just wanting to see if anyone has to see how they set it up. My roommate has programmed a pi before but not for anything like this. 1991 Eliminator 4L 6CYL 2WD built October 1990
zomeizter
An easy way to achieve your goal is to mount an iPad or Android tablet onto/into your dash. There are dongles for your ALDL connector to monitor your powertrain through bluetooth and an application. There's lots of info on this on the web, google is your friend... Ras-pis are cool but I'd use them in the house for other functions such as smart-home integration and such. I'm not trying to discourage the ras-pi used in a vehicle but there are for sure some more practical ways, like a headset that has all the features you mention already built in. Minuit
Sounds like it would be a fun project.
