Wiring Harness Question

Hi all I have a 1987 Jeep Comanche 4.0 4X4. When I bought it, it had a melted wiring harness caused by some electrical fire that I have no knowledge of or ability to find out about. I sourced an engine wiring harness from Kody Kilmer @Kkilmer87 thinking it was a direct replacement. Pictures attached below. To me it looks like the end connectors and various other aspects of the wiring harness are completely different. What model year will this particular wiring harness work with? Is it compatible with my 87 Renix 4.0? @cruiser54
