Kyleinreallife
So I’ve been chasing this bastard ever since I bought this thing. For the 1st couple weeks of having it, it was fine. Then it began having a power but no crank issue intermittently. I thought it may have been because things had gotten wet but ruled that out after I did a river crossing and the $#!& fixed itself! I enjoyed a start up with every turn of the key for a good long while, but now it’s back. It starts every time if I jump the starter so it’s not that. It’s not the nss, I tested the connector and found signal at the necessary positions. I cleaned my ignition coil contacts as per cruisers tips. (Could be going bad but I thought could either work or they don’t—problem is intermittent) Could be CPS? I'm not sure how that affects start up, I thought if the cps was bad it wouldn’t run at all. I did find an anomaly, but again it had been starting normally for months so I don’t think it’s this but, the hot wire from the starter solenoid come up to the passenger fire wall, is connected to 2 wires and then goes into the harness. Seemed strange to me... Also, how, if at all does the tps affect ignition? Might have just been coincidence, but the issue came back right after I had messed with the tps because it got wet (needs replaced)...I’m thinking maybe somewhere in the harness near there? I’m going to do the c101 delete this weekend to eliminate that. Any other ideas? 87 XJ Wagoneer Ltd I-6 NP242 AW4 HPD30/D44
