Building a new front bumper

Recommended Posts

Yeah, being stubby it just looks like it sticks out a long way.

I'm not a huge fan of hidden winch bumpers because you can't see how the cable it spooling, and typically they no longer serve the purpose of a bumper, in that they no longer protect the body.
I'd like to steal this idea hidden winch then a non winch bumper in front of it. So sexy.

But ya, you can't see the cable....hmm...fab77cef8b86364a6c5e437900c4c8fd.jpg1ca48783076ec0cac097da5b33bf036f.jpg

I'd ras the not trim my grill. And not sure how other people wotold feel about having to do that too...

That last one is definitely homemade. Looks like I fits that specific winch and the d ring shackles are extremely thin.

Those bumpers look good. Just not something I'd be into

from the searching I've done, I've found that the ones that caught my eye usually had the winch mounted higher up and the angled the underside to improve approach angle.  the other tidbit I noticed is that once you put some sort of brush guard on top, the pout-y lip appearance goes away pretty quick.   as in, the dirtbound bumper didn't strike me the same way.  It certainly looks kinda bulky, but the added dimension took away the chin thing.
