naf
I'm trying to swap in an '02 WJ master cylinder and brake booster from the junkyard into a 99 MJ. For people who just re-used the WJ's lines that connect the MC to the proportioning valve, did you leave the original fitting in the MC and keep the little flexible hose part and just cut the PV end to put on a double flare/MJ fitting, or did you cut off the flexible hose part and swap ends so that you only have hard line (assuming its the same fitting on both sides of the line)? Or is it easier to get some new line that already has bubble flares and use that instead?
Keyav8r
I did the ‘96 XJ master swap and made new lines. If I had used the WJ I would have tried to use the WJ flexible lines and re-flared the PV end.

"Double" flare the wJ lines to attach to the prop valve.
naf
Ah, I didn't realize that when people say the WJ had "soft" lines they meant the metal part was bendable by hand. I thought they were talking about the little flexible hose portion. Well that was easy (but maybe not the prettiest, ha)
