Replacement/fabricated bed mounts?

I'm about to start surgery on a piece of my frame that is rotting out. I removed the bed today and noticed that 3 of the 4 forward bed mounts are pretty bad as well. Has anyone fabricated new bed mounts? I have an idea of how to do it, but any tips/advice would be much appreciated.

Have you considered having someone remove good ones from a rust free truck ? Someone should have a damaged / parted out truck that could ship them to you .

That's a good idea, I'll have to ask around. There's a Comanche at a scrapyard just right up the road from me. How difficult would it be to remove the mounts from it?

Not hard , drill the spotwelds out and done . The worst part would be removing the bed if it's still on the truck .
