jeep690
So I'm thinking of doing a Rusty's 6.5" long arm kit on my 89' but while inspecting theĀ body side LCA mounts, I noticed they were different from an XJ's. They look like they have more support on the outboard sides. So, my question is, when it comes time to hack all that off, will everything still be structurally sound. There is quite a bit of material to remove is all. Also, if anybody has pictures they can share of their undersides I would appreciate it!
WyoCherokee
i need to do this on mine for the cav-fab 3 link. I'm just going to trim out the center section and fold them under. kind of like a burrito, and weld them closed to the unibody rail.
jeep690
Ok that is a good visualization. Looks like all that metal needs to be removed. Especially since Rustys has that uniframe tie in bracket that runs about a 1' down the outboard side of the uniframe.
mnkyboy
Once you remove the extra brace from the MJ the mounts are the same as an XJ, you can take everything off just like you would on a XJ.
