mjeff87
The fuel pump in my 02 KJ (gas, 3.7L) has suddenly become very noisy. I know on my MJ, the pump was notoriously loud, and it ran just fine for years until suddenly one day it just died. I'm thinking about replacing the KJ pump now just so it doesn't possibly strand me somewhere out of the blue.....or am I just being paranoid? I saw one Youtube video of some guy in Australia that did kind of a hack job replacing one from inside the cargo area instead of dropping the tank from the bottom. I'd rather do that if I had to. Any KJ guys on here ever replaced a fuel pump on one of these things? Tips, tricks, or ??? Jeff

mjeff87
Yeah, ^^^^ that is what I'm looking at having to do, and I'd rather not :rotf: That was a much better video, thanks for finding that. edit: I do seriously question the use of an open flame (torch) in removing the FUEL pump access cover. LOL. I've got a heat gun I'll use if it comes to that.
