kook911
I am looking for just the wire for the cruise control. It is the wire that runs down the steering column and usually flat and orange in color. I cut mine off by accident and want to splice it back together.
HOrnbrod
Why not just splice the cruise wire you cut off back on? Do you still have it?
kook911
Why not just splice the cruise wire you cut off back on? Do you still have it? Well i cut the wire right at the base of the clip. I cut away at the plastic hoping that there will be enough to to work with but there was not. But I did try to use the one that I did have. HOrnbrod
Sounds like the wire you cut is the lead from the multifunction switch stalk on the steering column, like in the below pic. So your choices are to replace the stalk (PITA), or to find a donor vehicle with cruise you can cut and splice a new wire from. All 80's-early 90's GM vehicles with cruise control used the same columns/stalks as your MJ, so there's a huge donor pool of GM cars available at the JY to cut/splice a wire from.
