1987 MJ 5.5 amp circuit breaker

Went to Jeep dealer and 4 auto parts stores looking for that 5.5 amp circuit breaker for windshield wipers. Anybody have any suggestions. May go look in salvage yards for one.

If you have intermittent wiper delay on your rig, and assuming this breaker was located under the dash. It is no longer available other than used.

But I'm told there not that uncommon. You might even get one off this site.

 

It would be best to confirm what breaker yours is before going to the u-pick yards.

Okay thanks. Plain old windshield wipers. No intermittent settings. Under the dash in fuse box. Had this MJ since new 1987.

Found several 4.8 amp circuit breakers in salvage yard off of Cherokees. Got 4 for $5.00. The 4.8 amp works.
