summer I run 10w30 winter 5w30

that will work fine and is what the factory would recomend.

if your engine burns oil like a qt every fill up then 20w50 or a high mile oil will help in the summer

winter stay with 10w30 of if you get temps below 10deg use 5w30

i run 10w30 year round

Just don't do what I do with my 88, unless absolutely nessecary. I have a small knock so during the summer I run straight 40w, and in the winter I run 20w50. Gotta get out of that habit, but I've been doing since I got it about 7 1/2 years ago.
