Khor1287
OK, so ive been beating, prying and pulling a wheel hub for about 2 hours now. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove one of these things from the front end of a 2x4 86 comanche? I got the bolts off the back end easy enough and bolt breaker hoping that it was rested on but there is no way its just rust. I this thing pressed into the wheel assembly? Do i have to take the who thing off and press this sucker out? I popped the axle stub thingy out from the middle trying to press it out and now i am totally without ideas. I gotta get this project done today as my truck does not really 'fit' into my half wood shop half mechanics garage. PLEASE HELP ASAP !

sinkrun
Not sure how close the 2wd are to 4x4 ? THis is how I do them I NEVER bear on a hub anymore. I can have the most rusted hub out in under 5 Mins. Its hard to explain here's a vid its not the greatest theres better out there if you look. https://video.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search;_ylt=A0LEVjZTlfJYRBkAPrcnnIlQ;_ylu=X3oDMTByMjB0aG5zBGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNzYw--?p=Cherokee+Wheel+Hub+Removal&fr=yhs-mozilla-001&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001#id=48&vid=f830ac289c3444381c86aa199ef00bdb&action=view
Airborne Janitor
I've used sacrificial bolts threaded into the 3 spots on the hub, then beat the bolts with a mini sledge and that seems to work well. You will mushroom/destroy the heads on the bolts so make sure you're not gonna reuse them.
