86 factory diesel

Recommended Posts

Lots of guys here will buy it "for the right price".

Problem is what you think as a seller is the "right price" will not be close to what the buyers here think of as the "right price".  You have an incomplete project that you will not complete.  Even if you do finish the project, it will cost you way more than you can ever sell the truck.  That is just the nature of our "old car" hobby.

Also, You put 3 different "for sale" posts in 3 different wrong forums, all with no price listed.  Per club rules you have to post an asking price AND someone joining the club SIMPLY to post a for sale ad is NOT COOL.  Club rules require 10 decent posts before you post a for sale ad.  But you know that and decided to spam the board anyway.

Lastly, for your own market research.  I purchased a 1986 factory MJ diesel for a very good price as a buyer last July.  If you want to know more...please send me a p.m.

Good to chat with you today.  Nice looking project that will not need a whole lot of work, sure hope you stick with it!

Post up the pictures here and keep us updated on the progress - no matter how slow.  You are puttering away at it and making good progress!

You might also ask around here for a lead on another truck to do a 5.3 conversion on.  Might take a little while, but you can find a good truck to do the 5.3 swap on for a good price.  Just let the Club members know what you are looking for.

Again, thanks for talking and for the pictures.

I can vouch for John stating find a LS swapped one. There somewhat common, but depending on the swap and who did it they can be pricey as well. I got mine for a steal and paid maybe a third on the high side of what it was worth because the guy needed it sold ASAP and I offered what I had.
