AC Component Question

Ordered some AC components off of Ebay.  I had, at first, assumed that the below was a receiver drier.  However, what I received came with the "spray can" looking receiver drier that attaches to the condenser, in addition to this mystery part. I'm sure this will be a DOH moment, but, any help with identification is greatly appreciated.

looks like it is a drier receiver. However it sure does not look factory. Normally on top of the drier receiver the in and out with the pressure switch . either this is mounted upside down or something else is going on. never mount a drier receiver upside down if this is the case.
