Minuit
You have the Torqueflite. The AW4 didn't appear until the 1987 model year.
jlaw
thanks for the quick response, can a TFa904 auto be bolted to a 3.4 v6 that has been massaged a little, reason is to be a quality driver for granddaughter to school. mud, snow dirt roads. also is there a set of exhaust headers that can be manipulated to fit???? thanks jeff
dasbulliwagen
In mopars the A904 was used mostly with the slant 6 but also with some of the small block v8 cars. It can handle a 3.4 no problem. There are valve body upgrade kits available for them too that take care of any issues these trans had. I plan a similar setup for when my daughter begins to drive. Good luck.
