MidTenManche
There may be another post answering this question but I was unable to find it. Feel free to post a link if you know where it is. Scenario: I have an 89 eliminator, aw4 Trans on the floor. The cable was missing when I bought the Jeep. I purchased a shift cable with the length of 57". Question: Does anyone know (possibly have pictures) the routing of this cable? It doesn't seem long enough to route through the firewall near the brake booster like I have seen. ParadiseMJ
Theres a hole in the tranny tunnel, just back of the firewall. It's a bit of a pain to find but it's there. I'll try to get a picture of it tomorrow. I have my tranny out so it's very plain where it is. So it routes straight from the shifter, forward thru the hole (under the carpet) and curves around to the gear selector on the tranny. The firewall by the booster is for a column shift. More later.
