Fuel injector question

Recommended Posts

It is not injectors it is injector (1)

I would probably be proven wrong but i have never heard of an upgraded one.....maybe one out of a gm V6 or V8 would snap in and give you more flow... :dunno:

Rads....any Cherokee rad....you can also use YJ and TJ 2.5 rads....nothing will be plug and play...there will be some "adapting" required....My 87 2.5 ran for a couple of years with a TJ rad...now it has a NOS 2000 XJ rad

The gm TBI injectors are the same size from mid 80s to late 90s and yes will fit in the Jeep 2.5 TBI. The difference is the amount of fuel they deliver. If memory serves me right the Jeep TBI injector delivers around 48pph. I could be wrong any here's a list I'd grab a few different ones from

a junk yard and try them out. The 4.3l is the closest which there was two injectors on that engine like most of the GM tbi

TBI Injectors

5235206 - Orange / Black - 61pph - 5.7L / 350 Cars/Trucks

17084327 - Yellow / Brown - 65pph - 5.7L / 350 Police Package

17084304 - Black / Blue - 74pph - 7.4L / 454 - 91-93

5235231 - Red / Blue - 80pph - 7.4L / 454 - 88-90

17104288 - Pink / Purple - 46pph @13psi - 7.4L / 454 - 94-95 *NOTE: Came with 30 PSI regulator used @ 26-32psi for 67-72pph

And all honesty I'd buy a new radiator, you can get a all aluminum one on eBay for a 100 dollars. The Jeep wranglers 2.5 same year will fit, not the 87.
