to start off: i'm not looking to swap out the radiator right now. i know the closed system can work, and I'm thinking i can do this for a fraction of the cost.

 

this is where i'm at. this is not working. 


 

I eliminated the heater core entirely, as you can see in the pictures. i know this is not the correct setup, but I'm trying to figure out what is. My idea is to insert a radiator cap into the upper radiator hose (A) something like this: http://www.jegs.com/images/photos/500/555/555-53098.jpg and run a line to a new coolant reservoir off the aux nipple. then, run lines B and C into each other, thus eliminating the heater core loop. however, i believe there needs to be a restriction point somewhere to force the coolant into the radiator, but I'm not sure where this needs to be. my plan is to put in a ball valve that i can fine tune to the right amount of flow, but the location is whats in question.
