zetabird
so i have one of the Chinese snorkels, i have the snorkel mounted to the truck my question was about the tube to airbox, it looks like it will point down off the snout and youd drill your hole below it but all the pictures ive seen online the hole is drilled through the side below the hinge, dose anyone have one or the safari snorkel they could snap a few pictures of, thanks
87Warrior
I think it depends which China factory the product come from. The airbox tube is pointing down on my truck. It was the only viable way to mount it.

zetabird
thanks thats what i thought, so the hose runs ontop of the fender liner and hooks around underneath that part i should be able to handle that, unfortunalty the metal and nuts thst hold the fender flares on is all busted up
zetabird
so i have to drill a 3 inch hole for that, did you do anything to waterproof the bottom of that box any mine seems to have a few extra holes and the one bolt broke off i have to ifx
87Warrior
The airbox is from a 91 HO 4.0 and the truck is a 86 2.5. I went with the HO box because it doesn't have the silly vacuum doors. I did put some silicone around the bolts and in the few holes around the box. My flare bolts are rusted too. I simply pulled the inner fender out from around them and shoved it back in once I ran the pipe. Hasn't fallen down yet :)
