Lately ive noticed a little bit of coolant leaking in the cab of the truck. wondering if its the heater core or something of that nature and what is the best procedure. and also the valve that is close to the core itself is there a way to bypass it by any chance because i notice it leaks some Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm actually on the same boat as you are, I'll be overhauling my AC system as well while I'm in there. You have to remove the dashboard in order to replace the heater core, here is a link that's worth its weight in gold. mule5 Posted October 1, 2015 Share Posted October 1, 2015 Before you go to all the trouble of pulling the heater box check and make sure that the leak from the control valve is not running along the heater hoses into the box it's a possibility that's were the leak could be coming from.
