32 psi fuel pressure bleeds off.... Grrrrr

Recommended Posts

The old MJ seemed sluggish. I could find no reason. Changed the fuel filter even though it is only 8 months old and I put in a new tank at the same time. No change and no pressure in the line when I cracked it. Put a gauge on the fuel pressure and found 32 psi. The pressure bleeds off immediately when the engine is turned off and it retains no pressure when the engine is off. Grrrr. It looks like I should have 40-42 psi. I sprung for the better Bosch pump 8 months ago. We will see how the warranty works

Cruiser all that I know for sure is they are rebuilt 4 -hole Bosche "upgrade" injectors. They will be here Tuesday as I need them in & running for a trip Friday.

In your opinion is it worth changing the pump as well? It appears the pressure #'s are correct and that it was not bleeding off
