Kevo86 Posted February 14, 2006 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Hey all, I'm new to Jeeps kinda, I had a CJ-7 w/ 304 and Chevy Automatic, quad trac, but thats not the point here. I want to say thanks to those who started this group, and all the members who have joined. I have liked Jeeps for years and even work at a Jeep dealership. But I'm looking at a 1986 Jeep Comanche 2.5L inline 4 cylinder and automatic. I had a few questions about these trucks. What company made the automatics, where they the 904 base chryslers? Did GM make any for these trucks? I'm getting ready to go look at this Comanche, is there anythings to keep in mind when looking at them to see if its worth it, or things if i see to pass on it? DirtyComanche Posted February 15, 2006 Share Posted February 15, 2006 The tranny will be a Torqueflight 904, I guess they're okay... And I figure that the majoy issue with these things is rust.
