tylergrant2011
Does anyone know why when you cut your blinker on either left or right it doesn't blink(or click) and is just a solid green arrow? I know there is a type of cylinder shaped two pronged relay in the fuse box but wanted more opinions signal switch or relay?
HOrnbrod
The blue and "Wagner" cans are the flasher units on the fuse panel (drivers side foot well). One is for the turn signals; the other is for the emergency flashers. Swap them and see if your symptoms change.
tylergrant2011
Nothing changed the hazzards worked but turn signals were the same just solid
HOrnbrod
Probably bad/wrong bulbs, a bad socket, or a combination of both. Start pulling the bulbs to make sure they are correct, and clean the goop out of the sockets. Check for power at each socket when the signals are energized. tylergrant2011
Is it 1157s? And also on your picture of your fuse box what clip did you use to snap into radio spot and then did you run a wire from there to inline fuse to the radio
tylergrant2011
But if it was the bulbs wouldn't it not illuminate? When I put my blinker on and walk to the front or back of truck its just a solid light
HOrnbrod
1157 or 2057 bulbs are okay. They are dual filament; they could be shorted in the socket(s). You need to get into each socket with a test light and see what's up. That's just a generic pic of the fuse box - not mine.
tylergrant2011
Can I spray contact cleaner in every socket?
cruiser54
Can I spray contact cleaner in every socket? Yes. And click on the link in my signature and view Tip 3. There's a lighting connector in a photo there that is notorious for being corroded.
