rearview
Drivers floorboard has the rust issue at 2 on a scale of 1 - 10. Anyone tried naval jelly to kill the rust or does the need to wash off make it a bad option. Worried about the area under the reinforcing tunnel. Looks like the leak is coming in through the wiper motor area.
ParadiseMJ
Naval jelly is only good for surface/very light rust. If you have rusted floors that penetrate thru the floor you'll likely need a more aggressive treatment. To get down to bare metal try some coarse sandpaper or a flap wheel and get rid of all the rust. Then treat it with a rust killer/inhibitor. Then you can topcoat that. But fix that leak first. Jackrabbit41
I used naval jelly on a table of mine and it worked great
sloride
I used naval jelly on a set of Keystone Klassic wheels I had back in late '70s. Worked great. But for what you're doing, I'd use something like Por-15 rust inhibitor.
