FarmerBrown5 Posted September 8, 2014 Share Posted September 8, 2014 So, I am looking at a 73 J10 with the 360 auto. The owner wants a little bit of nothing for it. Clean? Well, there is only one picture on CL and that side looks fine haha. He says it hasn't run in 6 months. His exact words for it not running were as follows..." The strap broke the held the battery and it fell and broke or its grounding out the power wire now. Every time I try to start it the motor won't stop turning over". No idea what to think of that really. Can anyone give me an idea of what may be the problem with it not running? Also, what things should I look for in the truck when I go look at it? thejim42 Posted September 8, 2014 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Sounds like the starter isn't disengaging when the key is let go and/or the coil is grounded out and there is no spark. Being a 73 there isn't much too it so it will be easy as hell to find an electronical problem compared to MJs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
