kazam
Greetings, I decided this morning that I have to make some more space, so the ' 91 XJ is going to go to somewhere; the motor is going to replace the struggling I-4 in my '87 Comanche. I am wondering what work I have to do to get that done. I am wondering what all I have to transfer, and I might appreciate some specifics that would help. I figure I will transfer the engine and accessories from the (XJ), and that would include the: wiring harness, ECU, what else ? Thanks very much. trapperbb
I'm not sure on the i 4 but i just swapped my blown renix 4.0 for the ho 4.0 (got a good deal on 4WD donor) and it wasnt that bad but i had to swap just about every harness from one truck to the other. as well as what ever they plugged into lol. Mattwheels
You'll have to make a custom harness to connect the HO front harness to the MJ rear harness, Its actually super easy.
88ComancheMitch
I have a 88 truck, with a 98 motor. You can use renix wiring. Just have to use renix sensors. I'm learning, but I have a couple more sensor (temperature sensors) to hook up and I should have everything together. Truck runs great, once I got my vacuum leak fixed. I even put a 99+ intake manifold on it.
