Jeepjeff859 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Ok so I just put a new clutch in my jeep but now when I bleed it it goes from soft to very very stiff towards the end of the travel, do I just need to keep bleeding it to get it as stiff as possible?
thejim42 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 What year is your truck? Is it internal or external slave?
thejim42 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I found out something interesting today. Apparently there are two different thicknesses for the throwout bearing. Make sure its The right thickness
Jeepjeff859 Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 yes i compared the two and the new one is the correct one. But i did realize after bleeding the clutch for a good while that the pedal is like stuck down a little bit and won't release all the way up even if pulled onĀ
Jeepjeff859 Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 any ideas on how to connect the push rod on the clutch master to the pedal?
thejim42 Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Can you not get it on the little dowel on the pedal.
thejim42 Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I used a some emmry paper to polish the hole and the dowel, put a little bit of oil on them and used a c-clamp to pop it on
