NLeeson
I have an '86 Comanche that I bought a couple months ago and it's a great truck (even with all the problems I've read about with the 2.8L) and everything worked fine (that the previous owners didn't already mess up). A couple weeks ago my brake lights, turn signals, and reverse lights all went out at the same time with no warning. I pulled the fuse and it had popped so I threw a new one in it, tested my turn signals which worked, but the instant I stepped on my brake pedal it popped it again. Me and my dad have both been over this thing top to bottom and I have no idea where else to turn. I NEED HELP. Any info on ground connections/locations would be very much appreciated! Thanks. cruiser54
Start by removing the brake light bulbs and duplicating what happens.
benjy_26
I had a similar issue with the parking/turn signal lamps in the front of my 87. The fuse would blow whenever I used the turn signals. I swapped out the bulb sockets and bulbs and the problem went away.
