1986 2.5L Needs Help

My 4 angry squirrels are unhappy, water in the oil (don't ask me, that's my father's fault). Truck is a 5 speed manual.
Seems like my only option is to replace or rebuild the motor. If I try and find a replacement, what years would work?

Any block/head should work. You'll need to retain your fly wheel, distributor, intake......etc..........as later years (wrangler included) are MPFI.

 

Where are you? Good 2.5s can be hard to find used.
