jimoshel
Been out all day getting my latest acquisition ready for the road. 1990 MJ, 4.0, 5spd, 2WD. The PO had a field day under the hood with a pair of wire cutters. How come when there's only one it's called a pair? I digress. Does any body see anything wrong with the wiring in these pics? They're 3 peeps here I expect will catch it, Cruiser, Don and Pat. Hint. It blows AC fuse minute I turn the AC on. We'll see. Not very good pics but was the best I could do holding trying to hold 2 wiring harnesses and take a pic.
Akula69
Why does he have a wire grounded to the compressor body? There should only be a lead attached to the clutch - its grounded through the block....
Automan2164
What he said. Rob
jimoshel
You would have to ask him. I don't know. I also don't know why he hooked that wire, the AC clutch wire and the hot wire from the harness together. They're all 3 twisted together where the 2 Blue wires disappear into the harness. In that case (can't see that in your crappy pics Jim  ) , when you turn the A/C on, the 12V applied to the clutch coil is tied directly to ground through the 5-ohm clutch coil windings. jimoshel
Actually Don it will go directly to ground thru the Blue wire attached at the back of the compressor. And yes they were crappy pics. I should have waited until manana and took a better one but I was impatient.
