Gnarmanche
This Cube is an Oceanic Biocube. I bought it a few years ago for 70 bucks but it was in bad shape. I hooked up some new lights, cleaned the rocks he gave me and used the sand he already had in there (regret) and i was off. I have spent easily over $1500 on this tank over time. Fish tanks are deffinatly not a walk in the park. It takes a lot of research and $$$ trial and error $$$$ Between water chemistry, bioloads, filtration, feeding, lighting, circulation, cleaning, i sometimes feel like a scientist! Spectormj
Thats a lot of cash into a tank looks good though I might invest in one once i get the space and I'm not in an apt
Gnarmanche
Yea, It is spread out over the period of a few years.. but it adds up. I would recomend a tank very similar to this one. The all in one tanks are the easiest to maintain and there is no thinking involved in the set up.. its all done for you. Just add some water and fish and your done

Gnarmanche
Oceanic/Coralife an 8 gallon which is discontinued but you can still find them used. 14 galon. 29 gallon. BUT There are a lot of other brands out there that make all in on units out there very similar to the biocube. http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_searchItem.aspx?Category=Cube_Aquariums&IdCategory=FIAQRC&sort=price_desc

Pete M
very impressive. I've had a 30 gal freshy for years now and know how much of a pain it can be to find that just-right balance.
Gnarmanche
Thanks! No one really ever gets to see this thing so I'm glad someone can appreciate it... its just in the corner of my room hiding from all the windows. I used to have a 55 gallon fresh with 2 Oscar in it.. they were a lot of fun.. but a giant mess. I would feed them crickets and gold fish (along with whatever else I felt like feeding them.. lizards, roaches, you fill in the blanks) and they just pooped more than I could clean. I also had an eel in there which was a pain in the rear as well.. (fish tanks are my kryptonite)
