Gnarmanche
I am not used to taking pictures while I work. It feels like it slows everything down too much. But it is so rewarding to have something to look back at. I will snap.some pictures tonight of my progress.. hopefully. In the mean time here is a bunch of pictures I found on my phone. This is what a bench seat looks like covered in Flex Seal.. I had the brilliant idea of trying to seal the stink in.. now I have a hard rubber seat. Out with the old.. I didnt take any picutres of the new.. I flushed 7, 5 gallon buckets of this out of my motor! Here is the tank all niced and sprayed up before I threw here in there. I couldn't find J-bolts so I went to home depot and found these for like .50 and they worked great! Old Fuel Pump vs New Fuel Pump
Gnarmanche
This is what the interiror looked like after i pulled the seat out. This seat smelled so dam bad.. i was going to toss it but than i had the flex seal idea.. which was indeed stupid (and expensive) What you are looking at there is my carpet.. not dirt animal hide The last bits of muddy interior This floor looks a lot worse than it really is.. This is beforei cleaned it and started to sand it. It was mostly dirt and grime. Nice litttle hole! Anyone hungry for spagetti? The roof needs a little love... Can you say POR15? Gnarmanche
Countless hours of scrubbing (with paint thinner and degreaser) and vacuuming later... here it is. Starting to look a lot better in there than it did when i started I used to work at a bar and found an old beer tap behind a kitchen work bench.. i had been waiting for years to find a good use for it and i finally found one! BEER SHIFTER Here is a picutre of the engine bay with the new radiator in. I purchased.. 1. 2000 Xj radiator 2. Uper and lower radiator hoses 3. Coolant 4. Overflow box 5. 10' of 3/8" Vacuum hose 6. All kinds of clamps. 7. Radiator cap. 8. funnel that i turned into a coolant system bleeder with duct tape  The swap was really straight forward.. everything just bolted right in.. filled her up and cranked her over.. The only thing i did that was outside of the norm was bypass the heater core.. which was made possible my zipties and hose clamps.. Thank god for  CC! I didnt even have to ask any questions... SEARCH BARS WORK This is me bypassing the heater core.. i don't have a/c and i live in florida so the last thing i am worried about is a heater.. but i am worried about a busted heater core leaking coolant all over the place! When i started flushing the system i basically was flushing out mud! look at that hose!!!!!!!!!! Here is a random picture of a ghecko smushed in a door at my job.. enjoy! 88whitemanche
Man! This truck reminds me of when I picked my truck up...at the time of buying mine I didn't realized how dirty and how much stuff was missing from the truck entirely... But I'm glad your going into it full press....
Gnarmanche
Dude.. This truck is such a mess.. everywhere i look i find another thing to put on my list to fix.. But it leaves a lot of room for me to put my own (gheto @$$) touch on things. I just want to get it in some mud already!

Gnarmanche
I needed a set of wheels and tires that I could drive around town with temporarily because the tires I had were 20 years old... I found these Rubicon Moab wheels on craigslist for 250 bucks. They still got some rubber on there so I will be painting them black and spacing them out a little until I purchase some 35's. These wheels are the 16x8 5x4.5 and the tire size is 285/75r16 I will take better pictures tomorrow after work when I am finished installing all 4... These totally changed the look of this truck.. oh well they are just temps.. or are they.. :dunno: The top tire is my old one.. the bottom three are the new ones. Don't mind the storage unit... I mean garage.

88whitemanche
Yeah...I had picked up the nates 4x4 winch bumper from that same guy...
Gnarmanche
Lol! He told me that the steering dropped out of it when you pulled the bumper off and you helped him put it back in. I was trying go get his seats but he wasnt really hip to the whole idea.
88whitemanche
Lol yeah...it seems like he has an emotional attachment to the truck because no lie I'm always trying to get a steal when it comes to used parts or Craigslist stuff and I tried throwing prices his way but he was telling me that it hurt to part the truck already that he really didn't want to let it go
Gnarmanche
Yea, He really loved that thing.. The irony of the situation is that he is junking the dam thing this weekend... so it makes no sense why he wouldnt want all the parts to at least go to someone else rather than the junk yard.. I am tempted to give him 400 bucks for the thing and take his doors, fenders and interior and then scrap it.
Gnarmanche
I mounted those moabs i got off Craigslist.. On the bright side i can drive around now.. On the dark side my truck looks a little off.. Ok ill admit it, the truck looks ugly as hell! I am not too worried about it though. I am hanging on to the wheels it came with and probably putting the 35s on those instead of buying a new set. Here is a shot of the truck before the murder of its man hood... ( I feel like i cut the trucks balls off) That's my poodle Harley.. he is 12. Here is the poor thing after its neutering. The remains..
Spectormj
Still a tall rig 35s will look good under it such a small fro-dog for a tall rig haha
Gnarmanche
You're right. I am going to paint these black which will make them fit in a little better also. While I'm at it this weekend i am going to put an undercoat in my wheel wells. I am also very tempted to pull the fender flares off and trim up the fenders... :dunno: IDFK i am just addicted to working on this truck so i am just making up stuff to do. 88whitemanche
If your going to cut the flares cut the front ones they are easier to find than the rear... I regret cutting the rear of my truck but it gave me a lot of clearance than before due to slicing my tires
Gnarmanche
Yea. I am still contemplating the idea. I might just go with the Napier flares and call it a day. its just $$$$$$ and i would hate to spend that much money on plastic ender flares..
